Workshops may be booked as below or you may choose any combination to custom make a workshop of your choice. Those listed are one day workshops but can be adapted as wished

Making your Mark

A day of discovery, producing your own marks using print, wax resist and stitch, on paper and fabric

The Power of Print   A number of choices follow                                                                                                                                                                     Exploring Lino and String, learn how to make lino cuts and string blocks to print your own paper and fabric                                                                             Potatoes aren’t just for Making Chips, print onto fabric using household bits and pieces. This also covers the making of basic printing blocks
Monoprinting Magic, learn a variety of ways to make and use these wonderful prints

Tiny Tomes
Make some special little books for all your sketches and design bits
Creative Sketchbooks
Readymade books transformed with simple techniques

Creative collage
A day making papers, creating collage and stitch

Drawing for Fun
A day of ‘alternative ‘ drawing with pen and stitch
Liberated
A day of no measure free cut patchwork techniques

Make It Your Own                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           A day learning to create your own designs to produce beautiful quilts

For beginners

An Introduction to quick patchwork techniques students will learn some quick techniques to create colourful and inspirational quilts
Angels with attitude
Design and make an angel panel with plenty of attitude. An introduction to bonded appliqué, and machine stitching with hand embellishment
Quilting by Hand
Make a panel suitable for a cushion or small wallhanging using all types of hand quilting
Quilting by machine
Make a series of samples of all types of machine quilting to include free machining and thick threads

Retreats
I also offer a number of workshops suitable for weekends or residential weeks as follows

‘Making your Mark’, students will learn a variety of markmaking techniques, using alternative drawing techniques, printmaking, wax resist and stitch

‘The Power of Print’, students will be introduced to a number of different printing techniques to create paper and fabric pieces which may lead to stitch


Exploring Traditional Patchwork’, students will be introduced to a number of quick pieced techniques to create colourful patchwork projects


Creative Quilting’, students will learn to create their own designs through abstraction which will be brought into patchwork and or applique


‘Creative Sketchbooks’
students will learn to create colourful and inspirational sketchbooks transforming bought sketchbooks, they will also learn to make special little books in which to put sketches and design bits and pieces
