http://www.fashionembroidery.co.uk
It is a fabulous show in Hall 12 of the NEC. All the usual suspects will be there including ArtVanGo and Oliver Twists… My favourite clothes stand with the gorgeous UWE always able to sell me something new to wear.. lots of exhibitions, lots of shops so bring your money and cards!
All the stitching is finished, just got the leaflets and statements to update and print, battens to cut and drill …. clothes are washed , packing started
Here are a few images to whet your appetite… can’t show the whole pieces because they wouldn’t be new to the exhibitions I have this year.
The first pic is of a group of five titled ‘Not Invisible’, it is said that when we get grey haired and over 60 we become invisible ….. not in my world we don’t! These will be shown as part of the Room6 exhibition titled ‘6 Shades of Grey’ so please do pop in and say hello to whoever is stewarding that day
The second pic shows a group of five again this time titled ‘Men at Work’ and the third pic is titled ‘The Building of New York’ and is drawn from the iconic photograph of workmen sitting on a girder high up above the New York skyline. this one is a monster, over 10feet wide. These pieces will be shown in the People and Places gallery, where Kim Thittichai and I will be showing our new work and demonstrating too. Please pop by and say hello
hope to see you there
Wish I could be there. I like the concept of the images of the guys on the girders in NYC. Those dungarees !
Shame you can’t make it… hope to see you somewhere soon
