wow, what a fantastic show!

well good gracious what a fabulous time I had in Maastricht .. this is a lovely quilt show, and I had a great time there .. the driving was long especially through Belgium… having got the ferry from Dover to Dunkirk… but this is a very good show …. hardly any Brits which is a shame … I don’t think there was a British quilt in the competitions even … though I might be wrong ..next year the show is thur 19th – sun 22 October 2017 so put it in your diary and get visiting …. the competition theme is ‘Speed’ next year so think of entering a quilt …. I was one of the judges this year along with Mary Palmer from Cork in Ireland and Hilde von Shaardenburg from Hilversum in Holland. It was very hard work but such fun …. working with the others was really interesting and independently we agreed on most quilts and a really good discussion on those that we differed on …. I am planning to teach there next year so hopefully see you there

I had a fabulous space for my solo show.. still waiting for various people to send me photos which I will share later and one of my ‘not invisible’ ladies quilts is now residing in Germany , up near the Danish border…

please visit www.textile-festivals.com for more information about this great place

lots of lovely visitors

Wow, we have had lots of lovely visitors this week for the Hampshire Open Studios, and lots of interest for our courses.

Just three more days to go, we will be open 10-4 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the Granary in Owslebury.

It is easy to find, we are opposite the church in the lovely village of Owslebury, you can park, just follow the bunting!

There is a pub in the village too, so you can have lunch at The Ship which is just a couple of minutes walk from us. Its open all day at the weekends.

Look forward to seeing you

Last week at Whitchurch Silk Mill

its the last week for my Exhibition at Whitchurch  Silk Mill, I can’t believe the two months is nearly over. I will be taking the exhibition down on Saturday, and one of my Graduates from last year, Janet Steer will be putting up her exhibition of spun and woven maps, describing her walks around Mont Blanc and more. Her exhibition will run until 1st May after which, there will be a World War 1 display

Do go and visit the Mill, it is really interesting with lots of interactive fact finders as well as a tea room, shop and of course the exhibition spaces.
