Happy Christmas everyone… this is my Christmas card this year, with the words:
Communion is a vision of a world where all nations and cultures will stand together, no hatred simply because of colour, religion or culture, but an understanding and tolerance of their differences.
and here is a pic from my weekend on the Art Van Go Artist in Action in Harrogate this year, courtesy of Christine Seager from SAQA
let’s hope the New Year 2016 is Happy and Healthy for you all, I will be busy in the studio for my upcoming exhibitions the minute the turkey is finished!
It looks wonderful … a huge thank you to my wonderful graduates who have made the most fabulous work and hung it in the Abbey today. I am , of course biassed … but I think the Abbey looks pretty fantastic …. thanks to the verger and his ‘mate’ all the arches have been filled with a variety of pieces, and wherever you look there are intriguing pieces and surprises around every corner… it is just as I had hoped and planned for many months ago … my own piece ‘Communion’ is safely installed in St. Lawrences Chapel
these are two pieces to whet your appetite, my own, and the wonderful mediaeval lady from Sue Fish who frightened the life out of the organist when he came in to practice this evening! no other images at the moment because I havent had permission from anyone else yet …. SO.. come and see for yourselves … opening is at 6pm in the Abbey tomorrow Tuesday 29th Sept …. and it is open until Nov 1st
Hilary Marshall and I have a partner exhibition at Rum’s Eg in Bell street Romsey , just around the corner with a super cafe upstairs
Well Ste Marie Aux Mines was wonderful. Very few brits make it over to see the four day festival which is a big shame ….
there are four villages involved each with several exhibitions and shuttle buses running backwards and forwards up and down the valley all day every day …. well worth a trip …
ANYWAY… next indeed, I have just finished stitching for the next exhibition which will be set up in Romsey Abbey on Monday ..the PV is 6pm on Tuesday 29th Sept in Romsey Abbey if you are nearby, but if not, exhibition is open until the end of October. I would show you some images and the flyer but at the moment I can’t upload them, no idea why, so, you will just have to visit the exhibition!
